The Kuwait Society for the Follow-Up Issues of Disabled People
The beginning of the establishment of the association:-
• Within the celebrations of the International Day of the Disabled, which was set up by the Department of Special Education Schools and then the Handicapped Club, and through the preparatory meetings, it was necessary to collect some of the needs, requirements, issues and rights that flowed to us from people with disabilities and the bodies that represent them, which were arranged, reformulated and submitted as recommendations to the National Assembly. And we followed it up with the officials and the competent authorities.
Because of the importance of these issues, the idea of forming a voluntary committee was crystallized, and the voluntary committee was named to follow up on issues of the disabled in 2003. It is made up of representatives of the authorities that care and serve the disabled in Kuwait. After a period of time, it was submitted to the responsible authorities to declare it as a public benefit association.

تأسست الجمعية:
تم إشهارها طبقاً لأحكام القانون رقم (24) لسنة 1962 م في شأن الأندية وجمعيات النفع العام بموجب القرار الوزاري الصادر عن وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية والعمل رقم ( 115\أ) لسنة 2014م، والنشر بالجريدة الرسمية (الكويت اليوم) بالعدد رقم (1196) والصادر بيوم الأحد الموافق 10-08-2014 م.
أهداف الجمعية:
1- تلقي قضايا ذوي الإعاقات المختلفة ومتابعتها لدى الجهات المعنية.
2- تحفيزذوي الإعاقة وأولياء أمورهم للتحرك بالمطالبة بحقوثهم.
3- تهيئة القيادات على مستوى ذوي الإعاقة وأولياء أمورهم لتصدر العمل بمجال الإعاقة.
4- الارتقاء بخدمة ذوي الإعاقة على أعلى المستويات التي تواكب عصرنا الحديث.
5- النظر في قانون ذوي الإعاقة والبحث بتنفيذ ما ورد بطياته والمطالبة بتحديثه وفقاً لاحتياجات ذوي الإعاقة.
6- حث المجتمع الكويتي وتشجيع العمل التطوعي لخدمة ذوي الإعاقة.
7- زيادة عمق صلة الترابط والتنسيق بين جميع الجهات المعنية لذوي الإعاقات والجهات الرسمية وأسرهم لتنفيذ متطلبات ذوي الإعاقة.
8- العمل على دمج ذوي الإعاقة بالمجتمع الكويتي في جميع المجالات.
9- العمل على الوعي المجتمعي بقضايا ذوي الإعاقة.
10- الدفاع عن قضايا ذوي الإعاقة المختلفة.
