Beach Accessibility Project Initiated by The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) Abu Dhabi and Mubadala

Beach Accessibility Project initiated by The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) Abu Dhabi and Mubadala.

The Beach Accessibility Project was introduced to facilitate beach access for People of Determination with restricted mobility by installing Mobi-mat accessible beach matting and deploying innovative SEATRAC Movers.

SEATRAC Movers are designed and manufactured by Toba in Greece and are non-fixed installation systems, powered by solar energy, ensuring flexible and adaptable access to the seawater. It is designed to provide individuals with mobility restrictions the freedom to enjoy the water independently and empower them to navigate the beach area autonomously.

The Beach Accessibility Project will be implemented across six popular beaches in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, including the Corniche Sahil Beach, Corniche Public Beach, Corniche Family Beach, Al Bahr Public Beach, and Al Baten Public Beach.
