For adults with Down syndrome, meaningful projects provide not only vocational skills but also a sense of purpose, independence, and belonging. These projects break down barriers and build bridges to a more inclusive society, where everyone’s potential is valued and nurtured.

 

Emirates Down Syndrome Hospitality Academy (Creative Kitchen) where we create social opportunities, foster independence, and empower people with Down syndrome in the culinary and hospitality fields.

By involving them in this creative process, we provide them with hands-on experience and confidence. This also allows them to gain valuable skills for potential employment in food service and hospitality. They have received the first academic program in the country for people with Down syndrome in hospitality and culinary management in the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management.

Recently we launched the first production line for the Emirates Down Syndrome Hospitality Academy at AccessAbilities Expo 2024

 

 

Photography club

Teaching them the art of photography, something they love, with the aim of building confidence and self-expression, creating beautiful images, document events and raising social awareness as well as interacting with the world and their environment.

 

 

Sewing Atelier

Engaging in creativity and fashion design, teaching the girls how to use materials wisely and produce friendly environment products

 

 

In Addition to that, we empower people with Down syndrome, showcasing their unique talents in robotics, opening doors for creativity and innovation where they can explore problem-solving and develop technical skills

Robotics Club for People with Down syndrome is the first in the UAE established in 2018, people with Down syndrome receive training in robotics, and have participated in many events and competitions lately, EDSA organized the First Emirates Robotics Championship for People with DS.
