Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Special Education-NECC
MRC-NECC is a local Abu Dhabi branch of The New England Center for Children, Inc. (NECC), a world leader in autism education and research. NECC has served children with autism and their families near Boston, USA for close to 50 years, including over 20 years in Abu Dhabi. NECC-Abu Dhabi was established in 2007 by a directive from H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, May God protect him. In 2018, the Center's name was changed to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Special Education (MRC-NECC) operated by The New England Center for Children, to recognize the contributions of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, who has promoted acceptance and inclusion of people of determination within the UAE under his leadership.
