Inclusion starts with the family

It’s a very broad term though putting it in simple words it’s a feeling of belonging.
Inclusion can be achieved at different levels be it in academic, social or corporate settings
with an objective to create a conducive environment in the society and world at large for
people from all walks of life to live and work in unison.
At present although inclusion is widely promoted in these settings it is important to
understand that it starts from ourselves, with our own level of awareness.
We often forget that inclusion has to begin within the family itself as a first step towards
bringing inclusion of people of determination into society. Determined ones unfortunately
face life in a society that is good at pointing out challenges they face and overlooking the
gifts they possess.
At Tender Hearts Arena we believe every individual has unique potential. As a social
responsibility we value and promote inclusion in every aspect of our activities through our
initiative Inclusion through Recreation. Our programs are designed to support determined
ones to achieve this sense of social inclusion by participating in various recreational
activities. We also believe the importance of involving parents and working together as a
family to address the individual needs of a child.
Tender Hearts Arena is a place where determined one’s can make friends, bond with
siblings, express themselves through creative expressions and hence take pride in
themselves. Our well trained staff provides necessary support and guidance while ensuring
positive development of a child.
By providing volunteering opportunities training and orientation to school students and
corporate employees we create enriched and inclusive learning environment where
children actively engage with community members to learn empathy, friendships, become
role models to one another thus developing better understanding of each other. society.
Over a period of 7 years THA students have improved a lot in terms of confidence, social
interaction, self esteem and performance skills. They have reached a level where they can
perform independently be it in fitness, music, dance or theatre shows. Our kids have
shown the ability to conduct and lead performances for the audience while getting trained
for employment and future independence.
To bring out a positive change it is very important to support the determined ones to feel
connected and valued within society. Its always the awareness and acceptance that
matters.
