The New England Center for Children® (NECC®), an award-winning global leader in autism education and research, deepened its international footprint with the opening of a new clinic in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The newly opened NECC Clinic-Abu Dhabi provides session-based, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and speech and language services to clients in both English and Arabic. They also support students in school-, home-, and center-based programs. For teens and young adults, the clinic provides vocational training and job opportunities with partnering employers in Masdar City.
“This occasion marks the expansion of the life-changing services that we offer to individuals and their families who are impacted by autism, and it also embodies the spirit of collaboration and community that has brought us here,” shared NECC CEO Jessica Sassi, PhD, BCBA-D, LABA. “The clinic is more than just a physical space; it is a place of hope and compassionate innovation. Our team of professionals work tirelessly to provide personalized care and support to individuals with autism, together with community members, and collaborators who have helped build our practice in the Gulf. Through our collective effort, we hope to continue to inspire positive change.”
NECC has been delivering high-quality services to children with autism in the Middle East for more than 25 years and its clinics and consulting services are well established in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). In 2019, NECC opened its first clinic in Dubai Healthcare City, contributing to the vibrant community by serving individuals through session based and consulting services. Due to the growing need to serve people with diverse needs, the Dubai Clinic started providing Allied Health services in 2023. This service delivers speech and language therapy and occupational therapy across a variety of diagnoses and severity levels. NECC has plans to expand and replicate its successful clinic model in Qatar next year.
NECC’s curriculum is steeped in nearly 50 years of research and education based on the evidence-based practice of applied behavior analysis (ABA). NECC teams deliver services through our patented, online curriculum, the ACE® ABA Software System, which was developed at NECC and currently serves 13,000+ learners with autism across the globe.
