Pedius Education
Pedius is a communication service that enables deaf people total inclusion in many areas of life: social, work and study. Thanks to Pedius technology, deaf people can read subtitles of phone calls, lectures, and classes in real time.
Regarding study, deaf students are generally excluded from most daily classes for reasons such as: unequipped classrooms, lack of technological aids and/or communication tools. Pedius overcomes these barriers by providing a captioning and transcription service that ensures constant and complete access to lectures.
In the classroom, the professor uses a microphone that automatically sends audio to the device that transcribes it in real time for the student, allowing full access to lectures through even the automatic creation of summaries, annotations and concept maps.
Pedius' proposed solution can be used to meet the needs of students with learning disabilities: Deaf, hard of hearing, ADHD, dyslexia, autism spectrum or other learning disorders.
