Voco Chat is now in Arabic!

Voco Chat is now available in Arabic. Voco Chat is designed by Smartbox with Consort World support for Arabic speaking region. It is a low-cell count symbol vocabulary available in Grid AAC software.

Designed to help people communicate for a range of reasons and join in conversations, It is also for people of any age who need larger cells. Using a pragmatic approach, message pathways provide a supported model of language, with grids to promote communication, interaction and wellbeing.

Who is Voco Chat for?

Voco Chat is suitable for anyone who needs larger cells, and can be used with touch, eye gaze, pointer and switches. Auditory prompts are included for both columns and individual cells.

Message Pathways

Designed to help you start building your message, based on why you are communicating. For example, to tell someone something is wrong, to ask for something, or give an opinion about something.

Functions column

Here you’ll find options to jump back to the previous grid, delete words, and clear your chat writing area. If you use an alternative access method such as eye gaze or head pointing, and dwell to select, you will also see a rest cell in this column which you can use to pause your access method.

Useful vocabulary for names, places and categorised words for a whole range of other topics. Much of this vocabulary can be accessed via the six message pathways but can also be jumped to directly here.

Choose your vocabulary

When you add Voco Chat for the first time, you will be given the choice to select child or teen and adult vocabulary. This allows you to choose the most appropriate vocabulary for the user.
